TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, May 3. Uzbekistan and the OPEC Fund for International Development discussed the implementation of projects within the framework of the $500 million agreement signed during the III Tashkent International Investment Forum, Trend reports.
According to the Uzbek president’s office, the issue was reviewed at a meeting between President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of the OPEC Fund for International Development Abdulhamid Alkhalifa.
The document envisages the promotion of new areas of practical interaction: tourism, logistics, pharmaceuticals, ecology, support for women's entrepreneurship, and youth initiatives.
The president of Uzbekistan noted the important role of the OPEC Fund in achieving the main sustainable development goals and highly appreciated the business projects financed in Uzbekistan in the spheres of industry, infrastructure, water supply, and others.
