Bandaged George Clooney and injured girlfriend prove the show must go on

(dailymail.co.uk) - George Clooney clearly knows the show must go on.

The actor and his pretty new girlfriend Sarah Larson dressed up for dinner in New York just 48 hours after having a serious motorcycle accident which put them both in hospital.

The pair - him with bandaged arms and scars on his neck, her on crutches and with a black eye - shrugged off their injuries and insisted they will be back in the saddle soon.

Clooney cracked a rib and Larson broke her foot when they were involved in a crash with a car on Friday.

Both required an hour of hospital treatment in New Jersey following the accident while they were out on a rented Harley Davidson.

Clooney alleges that the motorist signalled to the left then turned right, while the driver says Clooney illegally tried to pass him on the right.

Asked if they would ever take a motorbike out again, Clooney immediately said: "We always take the bike out. We're not quitters."

A smiling Larson laughed: "Of Course."

Motorist Albert Sciancalepore has denied he was responsible for the smash. "It was his fault," he has said.

"He was behind me making a right turn in a single lane and he tried to cut me off from my right side."

Both Clooney and Larson were treated at Palisades Medical Centre in North Bergen, New Jersey, and released after less than an hour.

"I heard like metal hitting the curb, like scraping. There was a girl on the back, she fell off, he fell off," witness David Sciumbata said.

"I thought he looked like George Clooney and the girl was very pretty. She seemed really hurt. She had a cut on her face. He was saying 'It'll be alright. Don't move.' He seemed to really care about her."

A friend of Clooney's then drove the couple back to Manhattan, where Clooney is staying while he shoots the film Burn After Reading.
