According to the Director of the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan, the article by the Head of the Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan reflected the reality of science and education.

"Sufficient resources must be provided for carrying out significant work in the field of historical science, and the salaries of our employees should be increased," the Director of the Institute of History of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan, MP Yagub Mahmudov told Trend .

The article by the Head of the Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan, Academician Ramiz Mehdiyev, devoted to the problems in science and education, entitled "Social and Human Sciences: A view in the context of time" was published in "Azerbaijan" newspaper on Dec. 8.

According to Mahmudov, only the salaries of the scientists are even lower than average wage in the country.

"It's an embarrassing factor. Despite the allocation of three million manat by the Ministry of Finance for science after my speech during the discussion at the Parliament, it is still not enough," said the Director.
He said that it needs to collect materials from various sources in order to address the important issues raised by Mehdiyev.

"The materials that we need must be delivered from Iran, Afghanistan, India and Russia. We do not need much money for this. If the funds are allocated, we can do great work," said Mahmudov.

According to the Head of the Institute, despite all these, it is possible to make a lot of work with today's capabilities.

"I believe that Mehdiyev timely wrote this article. If serious conclusions are made from these deficiencies and suggestions, it would be possible to make good progress in our science in a short time," said the MP.
