Azerbaijan, Baku / Тrend corr S. Ilhamgizi / The Chairman of the Azerbaijani-Czech Society, Elshan Nazarov , met with the President of the Czech Republic, Vaclav Klaus, on the 11th of May.
The meeting was held during a solemn event dedicated to the 65th Anniversary of events in Lidiche . The Czech President displayed his interests in the activities of the Azerbaijani-Czech Society and voiced his congratulations on the opening of a new 'House of Azerbaijan' in Prague.
During the event, attended by the representatives from a number of countries and officials, a wreath was placed on the memorial complex on the behalf of the Azerbaijanis residing in the Czech Republic.
