"Formation of a single customs union between Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan opens new opportunities for investors. We are creating a single market with a population of more than 170 million people and combined GDP of almost $2 trillion as of 2008," President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev said.
According to him, customs clearance of goods between the three countries will be abolished since July1, 2010.
"I think this is good news for investors who are building in Kazakhstan, becoming a huge market. I appeal foreign members of the Council to use this in international business and financial circles to attract the interest of investors to opportunities in Kazakhstan.
