The Uzbek-American JV Uz-Texaco has announced the launch of production of synthetic motor oils in Uzbekistan under license from the Bulgarian Prista Oil Group, the company reported on Monday.
New synthetic motor oil will be produced under the brand Prista.
The company received a license for the production of a full range of synthetic motor oils and high quality lubricants from Prista Oil Group in mid-2011. "The oils have passed a full range of manufacturing certifications to ensure the quality needed for the long service life of modern production equipment," the company reported.
The first batch of synthetic motor oil Prista Ultra 5W40 has already been produced.
The production of 450 000 liters of synthetic motor oil is planned by late 2011. Production of the new synthetic oils will be implemented along with the conventional products of "Uz-Texaco" produced under the brand names Havoline, Ursa, Gearrtex and Rando.
The industrial base is located in the Fergana refinery. The report did not specify the project cost or the design capacity of synthetic oils.
