The company SOCAR Georgia petroleum brought almost 197.633 million lari ($ 1 = 1.67 lari) in the state budget of Georgia in 2011.
Award ceremony of major taxpayers among oil companies was held in Tbilisi hotel Courtyard Marriott on Friday. Director General of SOCAR Energy Georgia Mahir Mammadov and director of SOCAR Georgia petroleum David Zubitashvili participated at the event.
Winners in 10 categories were determined.
SOCAR Georgia petroleum is undisputed leader in the "largest tax payer in the sector of petroleum products" category for several years. The company brought almost 775, 44 million lari to the state budget since 2006.
SOCAR Georgia petroleum, presented in the "oil company, which made the largest investment in 2011" category was also noted as the largest investor in 2011.
Investments of SOCAR Georgia petroleum was more than 53.423 million lari. In addition to the network of filling stations expansion, the company invested in two major projects - the construction of multifunctional complex "SOCAR - Goodwill" on the Tbilisi-Batumi highway and the construction of "SOCAR - McDonald's" centers in Batumi and Marneuli.
SOCAR Georgia petroleum invested more than 183.92 million lari during just 7 years of work in the Georgian market.
The company also leads in the category Best Infrastructure at gas stations.
