Turkey increases export transaction volume in national currency

Turkey increased its export operations in Turkish Liras by 21 percent in February 2013
compared to the same month of 2012, the Turkish Statistics Institute's report said today.

Thus, exports worth $379 million of Turkey's total export ($ 12.4 billion) were made in Turkish Lira in February.

According to the report, some 48 percent of export ($ 6.5 billion) was carried out in Euros during this period. The rest of Turkey's exports in February 2013 fall to the U.S dollars ($5.6 billion).

Besides these currencies, Turkey conducted exports in Danish Krone, Norwegian Krone, Swedish Krone, Swiss Francs, Polish Złoty, Czech Koruna and other foreign currencies in February.
