Banks, non-bank credit organizations reduce liabilities to Azerbaijan’s central bank

The liabilities of banks and non-bank credit organizations to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) declined by 10.5 percent for the year and amounted to 6.55 billion manats as of December 1, 2017, the CBA said in a report.

The volume of liabilities decreased by 6.3 percent compared to the end of October 2017.

The commercial banks' obligations to the CBA amounted to 7.32 billion manats in November 2016 and 6.99 billion manats in late October 2017.

The volume of the CBA’s foreign liabilities remained unchanged at the level of 2.4 millions manats during the reporting period.

The CBA’s international reserves increased by 30.9 percent for the year - from $4.01 billion to $5.52 billion.

During the reporting period, the CBA’s net liabilities to the state decreased twofold compared to the same period of 2016 and amounted to 2.99 billion manats.

The volume of liabilities amounted to 6.09 billion manats in November 2016.
