The municipality of Gaziantep province, located in southern Turkey, gave permission for the construction of metro in the provincial administrative center, according to a message of the municipality.
The message says that initially, four metro stations will be built in Gaziantep and a tender will be announced soon for metro’s construction.
The project’s cost has not been revealed.
It was previously reported that 10.8 billion Turkish liras will be invested in the development of railway infrastructure of Turkey in 2018.
