World Bank presents project of strategy on Tajikistan

World Bank and Tajikistan discussed strategy for future cooperation in 2019-2023 financial years in Dushanbe, press office of the National Bank of Tajikistan (NBT) stated on March 29.
According to the statement, World Bank’s permanent coordinator in Tajikistan Peter Olters presented a project of the strategy, considering priority directions for the country.
Representative of the World Bank noted that the strategy is developed taking into account existing economy potential, financial stability, bank system reform and financial policy.
First deputy chairman of the NBT Jamoliddin Nuraliyev spoke on the 2019-2023 financial sector forecast and acquainted the audience with implementation of the state monetary and currency policy, as well as with financial and banking situation.
Nuraliyev also noted that the World Bank is an authoritative international financial institution and can assist attraction of other international financial institutions to invest in Tajikistan.
