The International Finance Corporation (IFC) will help the Uzbek joint stock commercial bank Uzpromstroybank transform into a financially stable and competitive company operating on the basis of best practices and international standards, the Uzbek bank stated.
The corresponding agreement was signed following a meeting on Aug. 8. According to the document, Uzpromstroybank will introduce market-based mechanisms to provide services and increase availability of banking services for population and entrepreneurs.
The Uzbek bank is planning to provide its customers, especially in remote regions of Uzbekistan, with new types of modern innovative banking services and products.
Uzpromstroybank will introduce financing mechanisms and types of services through the Green Banking system.
Uzpromstroybank JSCB has earlier become the first in Uzbekistan to grant legal entities the opportunity to make transactions 24 hours a day without having to visit the bank.
Earlier, the international ratings agency Fitch affirmed the long-term issuer default rating (IDR) for Uzpromstroybank at “B+”. The outlook on the rating is “stable”.
