Food production up by more than 20 percent in Azerbaijan

The total volume of food production in Azerbaijan reached 1.62 billion manats in January-May 2019, which is 20.5 percent more than in the same period of 2018, Trend reports referring to Azerbaijani State Statistical Committee.

The production of beverages increased by 59.8 percent up to 169.3 million manats, while the production of tobacco products went up by 14.9 percent to 41.01 million manats in January-May 2019.

In total, food, beverages and tobacco products worth 1.84 billion manats were produced in January-May 2019, which is an increase by 29.3 percent for the year.
