Uzbekistan almost doubles production of cars

In January-June 2019, Uzbekistan produced more than 120,000 cars, which is by 46.6 percent more compared to the same period of 2018, Trend reports with reference to the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.

In the reporting period, the production of trucks increased by 58.2 percent, up to 2,456 units. During the first half of the year, Uzbekistan produced 912 buses, which is 3.4 times more compared to the same period in 2018.

The production of automobile engines in Uzbekistan amounted to 93,650 in January-June 2019. The increase compared with January-June 2018 was 56.5 percent. The volume of production of tractors amounted to 602 units, which is by 65.4 percent less compared to the same period last year.

State Statistics Committee notes that in January-June 2019, Uzbekistan reduced gasoline production by 11.7 percent to 494,800 tons, compared to the same period in 2018. The volume of diesel fuel production amounted to 539,800 tons, which is 3.1 percent less compared to the same period of 2018.

In January-June 2019, Uzbekistan reduced oil production by 7.4 percent to 347,300 tons compared to the same period of 2018. Natural gas production amounted to about 30.5 billion cubic meters, which is 1.8 percent more compared to the same period last year.

In the first half of 2019, Uzbekistan extracted more than 1.04 million tons of gas condensate, which is 2.6 percent less compared to the same period of 2018.
