As part of a project being implemented with the financial support of the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs of Switzerland (SECO) and the Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan, there are plans to open an advertising agency in one of Azerbaijani regions, Head of the Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan Sakina Babayeva told Trend.
She added that the advertising agency is planned to be set up in Tovuz district.
“The cost of the project is 120,000 manats,” she said. “The Association and SECO each will provide 50 percent of the financial resources. The launch of the new agency is scheduled for the beginning of 2020 and it will allow creating 10-15 permanent jobs.”
Babayeva noted that the opening of the new facility is aimed at support and development of women’s entrepreneurship in Azerbaijan.
According to statistical data, over 143,000 women are employed in the sphere of business in Azerbaijan.
The Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Azerbaijan was established in October 2017 with the support of Azerbaijan’s State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs.
