Turkmenistan’s Turkmenawtoyollary state concern (Turkmen Motorways) and Japanese Sumitomo corporation signed an agreement on cooperation in the procurement of vehicles in Tokyo, Trend reports on referring to local Altyn Asyr TV channel.
Moreover, an agreement was concluded between the Turkmen State Committee for Water Resources and Japanese Itochu corporation on the sale and purchase of earth-moving equipment.
A memorandum on the supply of Komatsu brand earth-moving equipment to Turkmenistan was signed in March.
The corresponding negotiations were held with the Japanese side to implement a joint project on the phased implementation of the agreement on the supply of the special equipment.
Japanese companies will provide Turkmenistan with special equipment within the large-scale projects being implemented in the fuel and energy sector, transport sector, water sector, in particular, the construction of an artificial lake in Central Karakum.
Earlier, the Turkmen delegation reviewed ten production facilities in Japan.
Among them are Nissan, Toyota automobile plants and the manufacturer of Komatsu construction equipment.
