Turkmenistan supplies large batch of corn chips to Afghanistan

ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, Jan. 24

Milli Sungat, a food company in Turkmenistan, exported 29 tons of corn chips to Afghanistan in 2019, Trend reports with reference to the Business Turkmenistan news agency.

The company manufactured about 200 tons of products for the domestic market in 2019.

Milli Sungat is working on expanding its assortment and is exploring the prospects of entering the Russian market.

The company plans to produce peanuts and cookies in the near future and thus, has been negotiating on the purchase of necessary equipment.

Moreover, the company plans to grow agricultural crops. It is planned to harvest up to 400 tons of tomatoes per year from the company's greenhouse complex, which will occupy two hectares in the Kaka district of the Ahal region.

Currently, corn chips with kebab, chicken and hot pepper flavors under the Şa çipsi brand are regularly supplied to the domestic market.
