Exports of products via Iran's Semnan province announced

More than $239 million worth of products were exported through Semnan province in northern Iran to various countries around the world in the last Iranian year (March 21, 2019 - March 20, 2020), said Ali Sadaddin, director general of the Semnan Province Customs Service, Trend reports citing Mehr news agency.

According to Sadaddin, the total weight of exported products were 268,000 tons.

Sadaddin added that exports increased by 43 percent in terms of value and decreased by 11 percent in term of weight compared to last year (from March 21, 2018 to March 21, 2019).

The official said that more 110 types of products were exported by 120 companies of the province. These were mainly lead ingots, ceramics, conditioners, detergents, ferrosilicons, etc.

"The products were exported to 48 countries, including Iraq, Afghanistan, Arab countries, Central Asian countries and others," he said.

Sadaddin added that as many as 22,000 tons worth $61.5 million were imported to Semnan province last Iranian year.

According to the official, product imports increased by 67 percent in term of weight and 89 percent in term of value.
