Kazakhstan’s KazAzot company, which is country’s only manufacturer and exporter of ammonia and ammonium nitrate has concluded an addendum to the contract for hydrocarbon production, Trend reports with reference to the company’s statement.
The statement was submitted to and published by Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE).
The company said that the addendum was made to the agreement on hydrocarbon production (of gas) at the Shagyrly-Shomyshty field in Beineu district of Kazakhstan’s Mangystau region.
KazAzot company produces ammonia and ammonium nitrate at the natural gas field in Mangystau region.
KazAzot JSC (production of nitrogen fertilizers) is also a Kazakh fertilizer manufacturer, the average annual capacity of nitrogen fertilizers of which is 398,900 tons.
Pesticide production increased by 2.2 times in Kazakhstan over first four months of 2020, from 2.3 to 5.1 billion tenge ($5.5 million to $12.3 million).
