Operational Headquarters to support quarantine-affected business set up in Kazakhstan

Kazakhstan’s government has set up Operational Headquarters to monitor the state of business in the affected sectors of the economy, in cooperation with Atameken National Chamber of Entrepreneurs, Trend reports with reference to the press office of Kazakhstan’s prime minister.

The topic was discussed during a video conference meeting of Deputy Prime Minister Roman Sklyar with the Project Office for Entrepreneurship at the Atameken.

Sklyar said that, on behalf of Prime Minister Askar Mamin, the mandate of the Project Office for the development of the Economy of Simple Things was expanded to provide operational monitoring the affected sectors of the economy.

The newly-established headquarters will monitor the state of entrepreneurial activity in the regions and the impact of quarantine measures on business conditions, generate up-to-date information on the number of SMEs in the most affected sectors, as well as develop operational and systemic proposals for the restoration and development of entrepreneurial activity, preservation of employment.

Operational data on the state of the business will be generated on a weekly basis from three sources: akimats (administrative centers), regional chambers of entrepreneurs and directly from the business. Thus, the business will be able to directly report on situation.

Based on the collected data, the Operational Headquarters will inform the government for the subsequent adoption of the necessary support measures.
