Seven-month trade performance of Azerbaijan, Austria announced

The share of Austria in total import of Azerbaijan increased from 0.54 to 0.67 percent from January through July 2020 of the total import volume, Trend reports citing the statistical bulletin of State Customs Committee (SCC).

The SCC said that foreign trade operations of Azerbaijan and Austria slumped by 113.9 percent in the first seven months of 2020, having amounted to $143 million.

“The export of Azerbaijani products to Austria for the reporting period made up $103.4 million, while a year earlier – over $117.4 million. Thus, Austria purchased products from Azerbaijan by 13.5 percent less than in the first seven months of last year. Austria’s share in the total export of Azerbaijan grew from 0.96 to 1.13 percent,” said the SCC’s report.

At the same time, the value of import of Austrian products by Azerbaijan dropped by almost 14.9 percent, decreasing from $45.4 million to $39.5 million.

Thus, the balance of foreign trade turnover of the two countries for the specifying period turned out to be positive, amounting $63.9 million, added the report.
