The largest industrial battery production complex, local medium-scale wind turbine, and several important strategic projects were inaugurated in the presence of Iran`s Minister of Defense.
“The Iran defense industry experts were able to work around the clock, relying on domestic capacities, increased the production capacity of the country's industrial battery productions to 180 million ampere-hours per year, which is a great achievement for the country amid US sanctions,” Defense Minister Brigadier General Amir Hatami said in an inauguration ceremony today on Sunday, Trend reports citing IRNA.
"By operating the country's large industrial battery production complex, a significant part of the domestic needs, in the fields of telecommunications, power plants, refineries, and communications, will be met,” he said adding that it prevents outflow of millions of dollars by decreasing the imports.
He went on to say that the defense industry experts were able to obtain advanced technical knowledge of designing these products, through which, the Islamic Republic can export industrial batteries and provide technical-engineering services, increase productivity and reduce costs.
He said that the opening and operation of these industrial projects will lead to creating more than one thousand jobs.
