The export of Azerbaijani silk decreased by 1.6 times from January through October 2020, Trend reports with reference to the statistics report of the Azerbaijani State Customs Committee.
Azerbaijan exported silk worth $261,380 from January through October 2020.
Azerbaijan imported silk worth $37,000 from January through October 2020. The import of silk to Azerbaijan decreased by 1.6 times from January through October 2020 compared to the same period of last year.
Azerbaijan's foreign trade turnover amounted to more than $21 billion from January through October 2020, which is 25.7 percent less than in the same period of 2019.
Some $12.2 billion accounted for export in the structure of foreign trade turnover, which is a 27.3 percent decrease on an annual basis.
The specific weight of export for the year decreased by 1.24 percentage points up to 58.25 percent of the total foreign trade turnover.
The import to Azerbaijan amounted to $8.8 billion from January through October 2020, having decreased by 23.5 percent compared to the same period of last year. The share of import in the total trade turnover increased by 1.24 percentage points up to 41.75 percent of the total volume.
