The Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran spent 1.4 quadrillion rials (about $33.3 billion) on the country's industry sector during the first eight months of the current Iranian year (March 20 through November 20, 2020), said Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran, Mehdi Sadeghi Niaraki, Trend reports citing the ministry.
He made the remark during his visit to Maragheh County of East Azerbaijan Province.
The deputy minister stressed that as result, large progress has been recorded in the industrial sector of Iran.
Sadeghi Niaraki added that thus, the production of 230 industrial enterprises increased by 20-100 percent, the production of 50 enterprises - by 200-300 percent, and the rest - by more than 300 percent.
"A tablet enterprise in Iran's Maragheh County can produce 100,000 tablets a month. It is possible to increase the production capacity of this enterprise to 500,000 units," the deputy minister said.
Sadeghi Niaraki noted that the tablet factory in the Maragheh County of Iran's East Azerbaijan Province was built on an area of 8,000 square meters with an investment of 2 trillion rials (about $47.6 million). The factory produces 7 and 8-inch tablets.
