BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 2. “Tatneft” has performed hydrodynamic modeling works for SOCAR's Bibi-Heybat field, said Azat Khabibrakhmanov, Deputy General Director for Industrial Safety, Labor Protection and Ecology of PJSC TATNEFT, told Trend.
He made the remark on the sidelines of the 30th anniversary international exhibition “Caspian Oil and Gas” in Baku.
According to him, Tatneft is working in Azerbaijan on the development of hydrodynamic modeling at SOCAR's Bibi-Heybat field, and today, hydrodynamic modeling works have already been carried out in order to jointly solve the tasks of increasing oil recovery.
“Tatneft is implementing several projects in Azerbaijan. On May 28, a joint memorandum was signed between SOCAR, Tatneft, Uzbekneftegaz, and KazMunayGas on the implementation of green projects in the field of decarbonization and sustainable development. It envisages initiatives on energy efficiency, biotechnology, alternative energy, climate engineering, as well as, of course, environmental education,” he noted.
The official also emphasized that the four companies - SOCAR, KazMunayGas, Uzbekneftegaz, and Tatneft - have signed an agreement to create a consortium for cooperation in various areas.
“We are talking about digitalization, industrial safety and emergency response, geophysical research, service, well drilling, exploration and production, and, as already mentioned, green projects. The main focus is sustainable development and decarbonization,” Habibrakhmanov said.
According to him, issues on new projects will be discussed within the framework of the created consortium.
“It was created for cooperation and joint solution of global challenges facing us,” Khabibrakhmanov emphasized.
