Georgia can export high-quality agricultural products in Germany, as the demand is high, said German Ambassador to Georgia Hubert Knirsch said, Trend reports via Georgian media.
“Quality agricultural products are highly demanded in Germany. German companies, working on food processing, are really looking for such products. But, other sectors should be added to the agricultural products. For example, there is already a clothing industry in Georgia and I think it has great potential, there are many other sectors, such as furniture manufacturing or even services, such as computer technology, design," said Knirsch.
According to him, many new Georgian products are exported on the German and European markets, which have not been exported before.
"I am glad that Georgia’s exporting products are becoming more diversified," the ambassador said.
Georgia exported products of $61.75 million to Germany in 2020, while in 2019 exports amounted to $54.26 million.
