The value of Iran's domestic production of commodities and equipment reached $3.4 billion in the last Iranian year (started March 20, 2020) that would be an alternative for imported goods, said the head of the domestic machinery and equipment center in the Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade.
It is expected that domestic production would increase to $10 billion in a three-year plan (2019-2021), said Mohammad Mehdi Hadouvi, Trend reports citing IRNA.
The obligation for domestic production was $3.4 billion in the last Iranian year (started March 20, 2020) although provinces provided more than this figure.
"Since the start of this three-year plan in 2019 till now $6.6 billion domestic productions has been achieved and It is expected that we would be closer to the $10 billion domestic production target considering the plans for current Iranian year (started March 21, 2021)," he noted.
The law to use maximum production capacity has been announced in 2019.
