BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 21. Iranian government’s income increased by 60 percent, during the first 11 months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through February 19, 2023), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Iranian Minister of Economic Affairs and Finance Ehsan Khandouzi said at a press conference in Tehran on February 21, 2023, Trend reports referring to IRNA.

The minister said that the government income amounted to approximately 11.5 quadrillion rials (about $273 billion) in 11 months.

“Meanwhile, the government expenditures for the reporting period amounted to 11.5 quadrillion rials (about $275 billion), which is an increase of 52 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year,” he added.

Paying attention to the government's payments to companies and relevant institutions in the construction sector, Khandouzi noted that the government has paid 1.04 quadrillion rials (about $24.7 billion) in the construction sector for 11 months. This is 8 percent more than in the same period last Iranian year.

According to the budget bill prepared by the Iranian government of Iran for next Iranian year, the overall state budget will be 52.6 quadrillion rials (about $1.25 trillion).

Iranian government has increased the state budget by 44.5 percent in the budget bill for the next Iranian year (March 21, 2023 through March 19, 2024), compared to the current year’s budget (March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2023).
