The Bulgarian embassy in Azerbaijan is in talks with the management of the Azerbaijan Air Lines (AZAL) state air company on the opening of a new flight between Baku and Sofia, the Bulgarian embassy in Baku told Trend. The flight can be commissioned in 2006.
Bulgaria has deep will for speedy implementation of the project. Besides, there are definite agreements on cooperation between the two countries in the spheres of aviation.
The agreement was undersigned during the recent official visit of Azerbaijani President to Bulgaria. The opening of direct air flight between the two countries will promote the increase of flow of tourists, trade and economic relations, the embassy said.
At present cities of Azerbaijan and Bulgaria fly through charter via Vienna, Moscow, etc.
