The Azerbaijani government started to fulfill the requirements of the World Trade Organization (WTO). According to the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, the custom duty for the imported equipments and the exported metarials for oil and gas activity may not exceed $275, a government source told Trend.
The realization of fixed rates in customs legislation is one of the requirements of WTO. Today, the customs registration in Azerbaijan is confirmed at 0.15% from the price of the commodity. Many countries are applying fixed rates. Yet, Azerbaijan has made a step for registration of equipments and materials used in the oil and gas sector.
