Oil terminal on fire in Iran

Fire that began in two storages filled with kerosene in Iranshahr oil terminal on June 27 has not been extinguished yet, Mehr reported.

The fire has not left injured.

"The fire took place in two storages with capacity of 2.7 million litres on Saturday. One of the storages has been fully damaged," director of the Iranian company which distributes oil products in Chahabar province Aliasgar Abbasi said.  

He said fire fighters from neighboring cities were also invited to extinguish the fire.

"The size of the damage is being determined and the reason for the fire is being identified," Abbasi said.

Iranshahr oil terminal is located five kilometers outside the city with the same name. The terminal composes six storages with capacity of 16 million litres of kerosene and oil.
