Iran has increased the possibility of supplying natural gas to its northern neighbors to 55 million cubic meters per day, Zawya wrote with citing an Iranian representative in the energy field.
Iran is the second largest supplier of natural gas to Turkey after Russia. The country also supplies gas to Armenia. In addition, Iran is supplying gas from Azerbaijan to the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (located in the blockade) on a "swap."
Head of the Gas Transfer to Northern Areas Department Valiollah Dini said the country has the possibility to increase gas exports to Turkey by 40 million cubic meters per day, Nakhchivan - to 5 million and Armenia - to 10 million.
