In the next two to three months drilling of exploration wells in the Caspian Sea will be completed, Iranian Oil Minister Rostam Ghasemi said when inspecting the Iranian company "NeftKhazar" engaged in exploration work in the Caspian Sea, Iranian news agency SHANA reported.
"I hope that there will be a positive result," Ghasemi said stressing that hydrocarbons production in the Caspian Sea is a priority for the Iranian Oil Ministry.

Earlier, the Iranian company "NeftKhazar" stated about exploration of 46 large and small hydrocarbon structures.

Iran launched first drilling platform Amir Kabir, former Iran-Alborz in the Caspian Sea in 2009. The platform was constructed by Sedra company in the Neka coast. The platform is located on the four bases. The platform was developed by Iranian engineers.
