By Huseyn Hasanov – Trend:

The construction of modern innovative gas processing complexes has been planned in Turkmenistan, the local TV channel Altyn Asyr reported Oct. 23.

This refers to the second stage of the plant in Kiyanly (Balkan region) for the production of gas chemistry products, and also the second stage of the plant in Ovadandepe (Ahal region) for the production of synthetic gasoline. The large volumes of Turkmen and foreign investments will be allocated for their construction, the message says.

The urea, polyethylene, polypropylene, polypropylene film can be mentioned as the petrochemical products that are in demand not only in the domestic market, but also abroad.

The volumes of export of petrochemical products were expanded, which, in turn, increased foreign exchange earnings in the state budget, the message says.

It was reported earlier that it was planned to build a gas-chemical complex for the production of polypropylene, linear low density polyethylene, polyvinyl chloride, as well as caustic soda, hydrochloric acid, and liquid chlorine in Kiyanly.

In addition, a project is underway to build a plant for the production of methyldiethanolamine (MDEA) in Kiyanly by processing 4,000 tons of ethylene gas and 2,000 tons of methanol per year.

The intermediate products of neighboring gas chemical complexes will be used as raw materials at these plants.
