More than 5.3 billion cubic meters of natural gas were sent to consumers of the Mary and Lebap regions of Turkmenistan, Trend reports, citing Nebit-Gaz electronic newspaper.

Currently, 91.6 million cubic meters of natural gas are supplied through high-pressure gas pipelines per day.

The territories of the above-mentioned regions are served by the main gas pipeline with a total length of 2,808 kilometers, as well as 77 gas distribution stations and 15 gas control units.

According to Eni’s World Gas and Renewables Review 2020, Turkmenistan’s natural gas reserves were estimated at the level of 2.6 billion cubic meters in 2000, which later increased to 19.5 billion cubic meters in 2019.

From 2015 through 2019 Turkmenistan’s natural gas reserves were stable at the same level (19.5 billion cubic meters), says Eni’s report.

Meanwhile, Turkmenistan’s gas production was slowly increasing since 2000. Thus, according to the report, Turkmenistan’s gas production amounted to 76.25 billion cubic meters in 2017, 79.98 billion cubic meters in 2018, and 82.10 billion cubic meters in 2019.
