Some 540,000 tons from Turkmenistan in transit through Russia is planned to be exported in 3Q2021, Trend reports with reference to the Business Turkmenistan information portal.
Turkmenistan exported 500,000 tons of oil in transit through Russia in 2Q2021.
Also, Turkmenistan exported more than 320,460 tons of oil through the territory of Russia from January through February 2021.
In February, Turkmenistan exported 240,660 tons of oil through the territory of Russia. The volume of export of Turkmen oil to the countries outside the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) through the trunk oil pipeline of Russia’s Transneft PJSC amounted to 2 million tons in 2019.
It is planned to transport 488.5 million tons of oil via Transneft trunk oil pipelines in 2020.
Turkmenistan’s oil export through Russia renewed after a two-year hiatus at the beginning of 2019.
In general, about 10 million tons of oil are produced annually in Turkmenistan, the bulk of which is refined at local enterprises.
