BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 19
By Amina Nazarli - Trend:
Lebapgazchygarysh, the gas production department of the Turkmengas state concern, produced 12.4 billion cubic meters of natural gas in 2021, Trend reports citing the website of Turkmenistan’s oil and gas complex of Nebit-Gaz.
Lebapgazchygarysh exceeded the initial plan by 34 percent.
During the reporting period, the department located in Turkmenistan's Lebap region produced 47,300 tons of gas condensate for the Seydi oil refinery, which is 10 percent more than the planned rate.
The increased speed of exploration work contributed to the provision of high production indicators. Moreover, the department was able to increase gas production by overhauling 17 wells at the Malayskoye, Kerpichlinskoye, and Kukurtlinskoye fields between January and May 2021.
Back in December 2021, a new gas field, Agarguyu, was put into operation in Lebap, where two wells were drilled, yielding valuable hydrocarbon products.
Currently, more than 300,000 tons of natural gas are sent daily from the Agarguyu field to the Turkmen-China transnational gas pipeline.
