The production capacity of Iran's Gachsaran Oil & Gas Production Company from Golkhari oil field in the Bushehr Province (southern Iran) has increased to 50,000 barrels per day, the Executive Director of the company Mehrdad Kahkesh said, Trend reports citing the National Iranian South Oil Company’s website.
The director emphasized that previously, the company’s production capacity from the field amounted to 18,000 barrels per day.
Kahkesh added that in this regard, 3 operations were carried out in the Golkhari oil field. So, 8-inch pipelines from field wells have been replaced with 12-inch pipelines. As well as, 3 new pumps (HPS) and 1 unit of oil and gas separation equipment were installed in the mentioned oil field.
Iran's Gachsaran Oil & Gas Production Company (GOGPC) is operating under the National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC). The company is engaged in the field of oil production, refining, transportation, as well as natural gas and gas condensate production.
The company produces an average of more than 780,000 barrels of crude oil and more than 1 billion cubic feet (about 28 million cubic meters) of gas per day from 12 oil and gas fields. Most of the gas produced is injected into wells to produce crude oil.
