ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, December 26. Azerbaijan procured 551,680 tons of crude oil from Turkmenistan from January through October 2023 timeframe, Trend reports.
As attested by Azerbaijan's State Statistics Committee, the cost of importing crude oil from Turkmenistan in the first seven months of this year topped $317.54 million, a 2.3-fold increase over the same period in 2022.
From January through October of the previous year, Azerbaijan imported more than 180,224 tons of oil from Turkmenistan, with a total value of more than $132.95 million.
Azerbaijan purchased more than 352,715 tons of raw oil from Turkmenistan over the past year, for a total value of more than $245.14 million.
Meanwhile, Azerbaijan acquired more than 1.5 million tons of crude oil in the first ten months of this year, for a total cost of $824.31 million.
