BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 4. The Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) is poised to play a crucial role in Europe’s transition to a low-carbon future, said TAP CEO Luca Schieppati during the 3rd Ministerial Meeting of the Advisory Council on Green Energy, held in Baku, Trend reports.
“TAP supports Europe’s decarbonization efforts. By gradually increasing our current capacity, we can continue to help Europe achieve its energy security and decarbonization goals,” he said.
Schieppati emphasized that TAP is fully committed to supporting Albania’s gasification and economic growth, contributing to a sustainable and secure energy future for the country. “TAP is ready to play a key role in Europe’s transition to a low-carbon future, both in the short and long term,” he added.
Additionally, Schieppati mentioned that, under certain conditions, TAP will be capable of transporting hydrogen and biomethane, further contributing to the region’s decarbonization efforts.
