Azerbaijan , Baku / corr . Trend, S. Aliyev/ With the installation of counters to the subscribers in the electric power distribution networks managed by "Azerenerji" JSC, a reduction in electric consumption has been observed.
The subscribers consumed 776 mln. Kwatt/hour of electric power in January, 2007 as opposed to 866 mln. Kwatt/hour consumed in December 2006.
"Azerenerji" has plans to complete the installation of individual electric meters to the subscribers of 46 districts managed by the Joint-Stock Company. To date, approximately 500,000 meters has been intstalled to the subscribers. Some 650-700 measuring instruments are installed in the country each day. The subscribers of Agstafa and Gazakh Districts of the country are fully equipped. 99% of the subscribers of Shamkir Distict have also been provided.
