Azerbaijan reveals capital investments for 10M2020

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Nov. 13

Around 11.5 billion manat ($6.76 billion) were allocated to the fixed capital from all financial sources for the development of the socio-economic sphere of Azerbaijan from January through October 2020, Trend reports citing the State Statistical Committee of Azerbaijan.

According to the committee, this figure dropped by 2.1 percent year on year.

In the structure of investments, 7.6 billion manat ($4.47 billion) or 65.8 percent of funds were spent on production areas, 2.88 billion manat ($1.69 billion) or 25 percent - service areas, and 1.06 billion manat ($623.5 million) or 9.2 percent - on the construction of houses.

At the same time, the volume of investments in the oil and gas sector increased by 11.7 percent over the year, while investments in the non-oil sector decreased by 9.9 percent.

In the total value of capital investments, enterprises and organizations accounted for 58.3 percent, budget funds - 24.1 percent, private funds - 6.1 percent, bank loans - 6.4 percent, extra-budgetary funds - 1.7 percent, other funds - 3.4 percent.

The volume of capital investments in the first ten months of this year increased by 1.1 billion manat ($647 million) compared to the same period of 2019.
