Azerbaijani Accounts Chamber reveals data on 2020 expenses

Over 8.9 million manat ($5.2 million) of Azerbaijani state budget funds were envisaged to be allocated for maintaining the Accounts Chamber in 2020, report about the implementation of the chamber's last year activities stated, Trend reports on Apr.5.

According to the chamber’s data, from the above funds over 7.3 million manat ($4.3 million) were disbursed. Thus, the forecast on the chamber’s cost estimate was implemented by 82.2 percent.

The main volume of funds for 2020 was directed to the payment of salaries to the staff of the chamber. Their volume amounted to over 8.1 million manat ($4.7 million), or 91.6 percent of all expenditures of the chamber.

Besides, 433,200 manat ($254,820), or 4.9 percent of all expenses was spent on the purchase of goods (work and services), 4,900 manat ($2,880), or 0.05 percent - on representation and advertisement expenses, while 118,500 manat ($69,710), or 1.3 percent of all expenses of the chamber – on social payments.

The Accounts Chamber of Azerbaijan was created by the country’s parliament and started its activity in 2001. The chamber is the supreme body of financial control of Azerbaijan.
