BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 19. A total of 1.361 million Azerbaijani citizens traveled to foreign countries from January through November 2022, Trend reports via the State Statistical Committee of Azerbaijan.
This figure grew by 1.6 times compared to the same period of 2021.
The committee noted that 45.3 percent of the above Azerbaijani citizens visited Türkiye, 17.7 percent – Russia, 12.8 percent – Iran, 8.5 percent – Georgia, and 15.7 percent – other countries in the first 11 months of 2022.
The number of citizens who visited Iran increased by 3.1 times, Türkiye – by 1.5 times, Georgia – by 1.7 times, and Russia – by 15.2 percent year over year.
As many as 1.458 million foreigners and stateless persons from 177 countries visited Azerbaijan from January through November 2022, increasing by 2.1 times year over year.
