The revenues from passenger transportation via the Azerbaijani section of the Transport Corridor Europe-Caucasus-Asia (TRACECA) in the past 9 months of 2020 made up 43.59 million manat ($25.64 million), down by 60 percent compared to the same period of 2019, Trend reports referring to the State Statistical Committee of Azerbaijan.
According to the committee, in the reporting period, the cargo turnover in the country made up 6.9 billion ton-kilometers, which is 15.8 percent less than in the same period of 2019.
Meanwhile, revenues from cargo shipments via the Azerbaijani section equaled over 388.6 million manat ($228.5 million), thus declining by 18.2 percent year on year.
The volume of goods transported through the Azerbaijani section of the Transport Corridor Europe-Caucasus-Asia (TRACECA) amounted to 29.8 million tons from January through September 2020.
The report added that about 6.09 million tons or 20.4 percent of all cargo were transit cargo.
