Kazakhstan's President Nursultan Nazarbayev held a meeting with the Director General of the World Trade Organisation, Robert Azevedo during the G20 Summit in Saint Petersburg on Friday, the presidential press service reported.
Within meeting the parties discussed Kazakhstan's accession to the WTO and signing of consensus documents on this issue.
Nursultan Nazarbayev informed the WTO head on the on-going negotiations regarding the issue with major trading partners of Kazakhstan, the European Union and the United States.
Azevedo stressed that work aimed at Kazakhstan's accession to the WTO was fruitful and promised to make every effort to ensure Kazakhstan's joining the organisation.
