The Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) plans to place 2-year bonds in the amount of $100 million on Astana International Exchange (AIX) in Kazakhstan by the end of 2021, Chairman of the EDB Board Nikolay Podguzov said during an online meeting with issuers organized by AIX, Trend reports.
According to Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of EDB Daniyar Imangaliev, the Bank managed to implement several landmark transactions on the AIX exchange, both as an issuer and as an organizer of Kazakhstani issues, including sovereign and quasi-state issuers.
Emphasizing the importance of the ESG topic for the EDB, the Managing Director and Head of the Bank's Funding Directorate Nazira Satbekova said that this year the Policy on the Issue of Green and Social Bonds was approved, under which two debut issues of green and social bonds were placed.
