A decision was made to cancel payments recycling for cable-wire products in Kazakhstan, Minister of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources Serikkali Brekeshev said, Trend reports via the ministry.
"Regarding the disposal fee, a Government decree was adopted on the transfer of functions for regulating the disposal fee to Zhasyl Damu JSC. ROP Operator LLP has been dismissed. All assets and funds of second-tier banks were transferred to Zhasyl Damu," Brekeshev noted, answering the questions of MPs at the plenary session of the Mazhilis [lower house of the parliament].
According to the minister, the state is a 100 percent shareholder of the JSC.
"Today, the work continues on the revision of the disposal fee. I carried out three-four workgroups - on vehicles, agricultural machinery, cable-wire products, packaging, and others," he also said.
"To date, the decisions have been adopted that the disposal fee on cable-wire products will be zero," he noted.
"Initially, we planned to simply postpone the payment date for the cable-wire products until January 1, 2023, but then a decision was made that the zero disposal fee on the products will be termless, that is, no disposal fee will be paid for the products," added Brekeshev.
