BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 22. Agreements have been reached to increase the volume of tar deliveries from Russia to Kazakhstan in order to increase the production of bitumen, Trend reports via the Kazakh Energy Ministry.
On July 18, 2022, the Energy Ministries of Kazakhstan and Russia signed a protocol on amendments to the protocol between the ministries on approval of the list of petrochemicals prohibited or restricted for export from Russia to Kazakhstan, and the list of petrochemicals prohibited or restricted for export from Kazakhstan outside the customs territory of the Eurasian Economic Union dated May 6, 2019.
The purpose of signing the protocol is to increase the quota to 430,000 tons per year for the supply of tar from Russia to Kazakhstan, as well as to increase the quota for the supply of motor gasoline to meet the needs of the Yuzhny Space Center, a branch of FSUE (federal state unitary enterprise) “TsENKI” (Center for the operation of space ground-based infrastructure). The reached agreements will be applied by the parties from the date of signing of the protocol.
