Kyrgyz opposition is ready to sit down at negotiating table with the president of the country, Azattyk radio has Thursday quoted Azimbek Beknazarov, one of the leaders of the Kyrgyzstan's Joint People's Movement, news agency "24.kg" reported.
"Leaders of the joint opposition are ready to sit down at the negotiating table with the President, Kurmanbek Bakiev, and discuss freedom of speech, human rights, law and order in Kyrgyzstan," the radio quoted as Beknazarov said.
The other leader of the movement, Mukar Cholponbaev, confirmed the information, pointing that "the decision has been reportedly discussed at sessions of the movement."
"We are ready to negotiate with the president, but all our detained and accused associates should be released first," Cholponbaev said.
"There will be no bargains with the authorities. We are for equitable negotiations and if the White House is really ready to listen to rational demands of the opposition, the meeting will take place," the member of the movement said.
Presidential administration in, its turn, reported that it has received neither written nor oral suggestions from the Joint People's Movement on possible talks between the opposition leaders and the president
